Depending on who you ask you might find several different answers to what out purpose is.
Ask one of our younger players and he might say "to learn how to play basketball well." And he would be right.
Ask a veteran player and he might say "to learn teamwork" or "to become more involved in an organization" or "to become the best player I can." And he would also be correct.
Ask a senior player and he might say "to help me prepare for bigger challenges and adventures" or to keep me focused on what it means to work hard for my rewards." And he'd also be right.
Ask a player's parent and you may hear something like " to help show my son and daughter what it means to become responsible and what great things can come from it."

The purpose of Journeyman is to help grow our children into self-reliant, engaged and engaging peole who care about their friends and community, and take pride in themselves. If that isn't a great goal, nothing is.
