Important information about H1N1
As you are most likely aware, there are concerns surrounding the current situation with H1N1. We would like to assure you that the Journeyman organization is taking these concerns, as well as the information provided to us by the NH Department of Health and Human Services and the CDC seriously. The following is based on this information.
If your child has a fever of 100 degrees or higher accompanied by any the following symptoms: cough, runny nose, sore throat, muscle and body aches, and/or nausea and vomiting you MUST keep your child from participating in Journeyman events at least until he has had NO fever for 24 hours with NO fever medication (tylenol, advil, aleve, etc.) This is very important not only to allow for the necessary recuperation for your child, but also for the health and well being of the other players, coaches, their families and the community.
Please understand that this is a "team effort" to assure the health of the entire Journeyman organization and it is VERY important that your child stay home and recuperate.
Journeyman will be waiving its attendance rules in regards to the All-Star selection process during the period of heightened awareness regarding H1N1. However, this does not provide leniency in regards to solid communication. Players must communicate with their team captain in accordance with the JPA contract. This supports character and prepares them for future employment.
Journeyman has all necessary resources to support questions you may have regarding H1N1. Please forward them to journeymanjp@comcast.net and they will be directed to the proper resource.
