Alexander Stough

Status: Player Induction Date: August, 2016

Alex Stough played his first Journeyman session as a Division2 player in the fall of 2008 and continued playing for the next 6 sessions. This young, well mannered and reserved player showed us early in his career the type of effort that Journeyman tries to instill in all that pass through the program. Then duty called the Stough family to move overseas and Alex left us for a short period of time. Upon his return from overseas, Alex returned to the program and showed his true dedication by participating for an additional 9 sessions, missing just one session in 4 years. Through hard work, consistency, and unselfish play, Alex was a sought after team member by players and coaches alike. His even temper, strong effort, and quiet determination earned him much recognition throughout his tenure. As a superior role player, Alex fought for every rebound and is currently the number one rebounder in Journeyman history. Alex also demonstrated his effort and commitment off the court, participating in many community service projects and serving as an assistant coach for J-Hawks our girls division. Alex’s individual achievements include: JJE-30 D2 All-Star MVP, SJE-45 2015 Winter Session Best Defensive Player, SJE-47 Senior Division Larry Bird Award Winner & SJE-48 Senior Division Most Valuable Player. He has achieved 38 Career Double-Doubles and has earned Player of the Game honors 29 times. At the point of induction, Alex Stough is #9 in Career Double-Doubles and #1 in Total Career Rebounds and the only player to pass 2000 in Journeyman’s history. Alex is also one of the many few to pass 4000 PSP in his career.
His achievements on the court are impressive and his consistency, effort, and sportsmanship will always be valued for many years past his induction

Please join us in congratulating Alexander Stough, a True Journeyman.
